Hi, I'm Mike...

 

 

I have a very eclectic background and have worked in a variety of people oriented leadership roles. This little venture...Bathurst Dog Walking... is my tree change...or as i like to call it, my Dog-Days!

 

I have lived and worked in Australia and the US. I have been an Adventure Guide in White Water Rafting, Hiking and Mountaineering. I have trained leadership courses to US Ivy league schools, Military Academies in the US and Australia, and multinational corporate executives... along with people from all walks of life.

 

I have a certificate (amongst many others), in Training and assessment, a Diploma in Natural Resource Management and a Paramedic Degree... i have worked with the disadvantaged and those with Disabilities... i tend to love working with the under-dog... so to speak!

 

Some of the most rewarding work I have undertaken has been working for Not for Profit (NFP) organisations in the areas of Environmental Conservation, and work in vocational training programs for people with a broad range of Disability. One program I did involved "Dog-Therapy" sessions that involved the care of Dogs with the RSPCA. I enjoyed that immensely and envied the workers who spent most of their days with Dogs.

 

All this has lead me to want to take it easier and enjoy spending my time outside and revelling in the autumn leaves, the wintery skies (Both the blue & grey), the colourful spring and sunny summer days, with your Dog!... nice work if you can get it...well I'm giving it a go!!
