Hugo is a water-loving very friendly Labrador
Hugo's mum and dad where to be going away for the weekend so we were introduced and went on a walk. I was booked in to feed him on the Saturday morning and walk and feed him again in the afternoon. with mum and dad back the following morning
Hugo is a great dog, He took to me quickly, and he was bouncing along with me. He was very excited and energetic to go on our first walk, but he settled in just fine. We walked along the Levee bank past some parks with lots of kids at sport, and past by cattle, alpacas and other family Dogs. Although he was interested (in EVERYTHING!) in looking and scenting we covered a lot of ground on our first walk.
On arrival at home in the cool of the afternoon...he dived straight into his wading pool to cool off... he's hilarious! Oh yeah...we got to watch some nice sunsets together!!.
The next morning I visited for breakfast and we played. I picked up his messes and we played with his favourite reindeer Toy. I was so surprised when I threw his toy in the air and he caught it like a pro... he leaps like an AFL player!
I came back that afternoon for his walk, and we followed the levve and cycle paths and water courses in the opposite direction and explored the parks and open space. He is a great walker, but I am sure I wore him out.
I visited him later that early evening for his usual meal time, and we hung out again, and played.
It'd be good to see Hugo again, but I think like many Dogs, his owners take great care of him, so I will probably see him sporadically...I look forward to the next time!
