In this past year I have become aware of an initiatve up at the Bathurst Corections Centre.

Basically they acquire Dogs who for some reason or another are unwanted. Some are even saved from being put down.

Inmates are selected to take care of and train the Dogs to be assistance dogs for Returned Soldiers experiencing PTSD.

It's an amazing program helping to repatriate the Dogs, inmates and returned soldiers to a healthier happier life.

You might get to see the guys walking around the parks and walkways of Bathurst as well as shopping centre and other public places. go up and say hello and show your support of their efforts.

Good job, everyone involved
