I am always happy when a dog i walk is surprised by what we get up to!

Billy has been going a lil further each walk and today i tried to see if we'd get to one of my favourite parks...

He smashed it! we made it easy! so i thought i'd give him a surprise and see what he did.

we walked along the stream edge and he was his usual casual-self. a sniff here and a snuffle there, and we trotted along.

we got to where he could see the water and he looked like he was getting excited... (thats the pic up there!)

we went down to the waters edge and he stopped looked at me...and before i said go for it... he was in!

he was splashing around and slapping the water with one paw and trying to catch the splashes in his mouth... it was hilarious, cute and fun to watch! hes always polite and nice, and interested, and comes back to say hello when we walk... but in the water he was a crazy boy!

i extended his lead and he went further out to swimming depth and was loving it... we did that for a while and he came out at the end and was pretty buggered! so he'd had enough for a lil while. and as expected shook it all off and wet me... i probably smelled like wet human then!

We headed off towards home... and Billy stopped me in the middle of an oval and gave me a big thankyou ... two blokes having a hug-fest... then it was all like... ahem... we can go now!

Back to casual Billy, on a walk in the park!

He's such a classic!

(ps Billy... i think you may have lost a lil weight already...lokking good fella...!)
