Ted was great today... I am getting to know him better and he is a very smart boy!
Once again, he lopes quietly along and likes to know where other dogs are, but he happily passes by, though he did take particular interest in passing tradies in their Fuoro tops... dunno why?
We followed a water course and had a good sniff around but then got to business.
I was going to take him along a very busy road and see how he went. we were like 5-8 metres away so we werent that close, and he did very well. He'd look back at me at times to check in but was otherwise unphased.
It was starting to spit with icy rain and i didnt bring my wet weather gear in my bag (it was in the car) so we dawdled back.
But it soon stopped, so we kept exploring.
we dropped down into a steep sloped watercourse probably about 4-5 metres deep with steep banks with retaining walls at different levels..
There was a wall along a fence so again, i thought I'd see what Ted would do. he led all the way and gave me a couple looks but he did just fine.
we got to the end of the trail / wall, and we had to jump down about a 1.5 metre section. i wiggled down it and saw Ted checking it out... then he just jumped straight off into the squishy reeds and grass below. What a trooper!
I'd forgotten to take pics so we went back up this time along the water course and staggered up the steep slippery slope(for a human, ted just walked up waiting patiently for me!)
We ent back along the wall and he started off but then wasnt so keen on doing it again...so i snapped a pic and we headed home.
It was a nice lil adventure with Ted today...!
