Max and Roger are a great pair of boys...it's definitely a boys day out with those two!
Roger is very casual and pretty unflappable. Max is full of beans, but he takes us plodders with a good sense of humour. he makes up for the plodding by doing a zig zag...so he's happy enough.
Max and Roger are also luck enough to live in another area of Bathurst that is close to the countryside. In 10 minutes we were by a sheep paddock and in 20 mins we were face to face with some young cattle.
Max and Roger have only been on one other walk, their Mum n Dad usually take care of the exercise but were on the illness bench for the day... so i got called in. They seemed to remember me and were very happy to have their leads on.
I had planned on taking them on this walk, the last time we were together. a nice long walk along a roadside. we'll probably be able to walk even further so its a nice challenge.
The sheep were a long distance away, but we were down wind so the boys could definitely smel them. As we walked along i saw the cattle long before they did, so we approached pretty slowly. the cattle were lazing in the sun but got up as we approached.
The boys behaved really well and the cattle came up quite close. Roger was fascinated by them and was very keen to stay with them. Max wasnt so keen but he didnt do any thing silly or anything.
The cattle weren't spooked at all and followed us when we headed home... so that was nice.
We had a drink break and then headed off and we followed the roadside home again. We jumped down into another watercourse and did a zig zag along that and then trotted home.
I think we did a nice long walk as the boys were pretty quiet when we got home...
Well done guys... hope to see you again soon!
