Phil smells spring in the air...

Phil is always great to walk. He's a very sensible boy, and doesnt get distracted at all by much... well except pigeons! There was something in the air today that definitely had Phils attention.

He's so funny too. Before we even opened the gate he had spotted some pigeons on a roof and immediately crouched to stalk them... You can go on the roof Phil...but i'm staying here on the ground!

So we headed off all excited and happy for a walk.

We went to a Fire station as our first destination to see how we were going for time. As usual, Phil just trots along so we ate up that distance easily.

We followed a fenceline next to some bushland and there was definitely something interesting that walks in and out of the bush, as it had Phils total attention. I don't usually let my dogs smell something for too long... but Phil was very happy to see what it was... so we hung round so he could soak it all in.

We continued on past a park and went to another one that normally has a water feature, but it was dry still. We actually walked into it and crossed where it would normally be chest deep on me (which isnt really that deep!) and is usually quite nice to look at.

We then went on the other side and Phil took me cross country through the trees. He was still feeling very adventurous. Phil is a city boy really, but he seems very interested in going exploring... maybe we'll have to find some bush land to take a walk through sometime...?
