I got to meet Scarlett for the first time last week, and we went off to walk along the river. I think she may have remembered me... but she's a friendly girl in anycase. So i had a tail wagging welcome and she was leaning on me.... I think youre awesome too Scarlett!
We headed off along the cycle/walkway and Scarlett settled into that pitter patter quick walk she has. I was hoping to see how she went with cars whizzing by at one spot, but she was just fine. She was more interested in the galahs feeding nearby, so thats pretty good.
It was a good day for birds. Magpies, the odd Currawong, Wagtails. She had an interest in pgeons too... But not as interested as another Boy i know... Phil!.
We made it all the way to a big open space near some paddocks that sometimes has Cows and sheep on it. But the coast was clear. So we got to sniff out lots of activity along the fence line. The wind was starting to blow so i am sure lots of smells came Scarletts way.
We stopped for a rest break, but Scarlett was pretty keen to keep going so on the way home we followed another fence to see what else we could find. Someone was kicking a ball around and we saw some horses and a few other Dogs in their yards. So it was a very nice walk.
Scarletts Mum is on the bench this week so i am lucky enough to get to walk here again soon. Lookin' forward to it Scarlett!
