Billy: Just look at this smile!

Rain hail or shine, Billy and I always have a great walk together! Today i was planning to put on my wellies and rain gear and go for a walk. Billy is ok with rain, and he likes the puddles too.

But the sun came out and the clouds disappeared and there was a pleasnt breeze out.

Billy is such a character! He is mostly pretty quiet and always well behaved. He doesnt cause trouble with other dogs (even though he can get a bit excited) but he's always good and sticks to the plan.

Today Billy was having one of his very affectionate days! Its hilarious! After his usual sniff-about, and checking the street is as he left it last, he usually settles in and we just charge along. He does "bail me up" for the odd check-in neck and back scratch. But today, i couldnt walk 50 metres without his look up at me as he skirts sideways in front of me and then sits for a pat.

Ages ago i thought its coz he just wants a rest, but when he does it on 500m up the road... well hes just all about the love.

We got to our halfway point, where i had forgotten my dish, for a drink. We improvised and Billy worked it all out as i used my hand and the tilted water bottle. Then we settled for a rest in the shade, and Billy leans all over me and again, shares the love!

We got swooped by a magpie today...well Billy did... i don't think he even noticed...he didnt even flinch... and it did come quite close to him... told you he was a tough boy! We did get a lil close to a very young magpie, but again, Billy wasnt overly interested in the Magpie, as much as he was with the tree it was near!

We continued on home without any further excitement...and yes, we did stop for more and more neck ruffles, ear scratches and back pats!
