Phil: The day after the night before!

I always look forward to my Sunday walks with Phil! It's always a nice casual walk no matter where we go, and we always stride out the K's.

This morning I was told Phil was up late and playing with visitors. I know how I am without my sleep, so I wondered how Phil would pull up.

It was a slow start this morning. Phil is always like... lets go smell some stuff in the first part of the walk. But we plodded halfway up the hill before he was back to his usual fast pace. Secretly, I was enjoying the plod myself!

So we climbed up the hill and went down to a creek and along the pathways and lapped a cricket oval. Along the way, of course, there's lots to see, smell hear and do on our walks. There were the usual jealous dogs stuck in their yards, people out for walks and rides and kids playing. We got to stalk up on a couple of pigeons and he was interested in some galahs too. I'm like, alright if youre up for a chase...lets go!

It wasnt too hot out this morning but we still stopped in a couple of shady spots. I didnt know how Phil was coping with partying last night... but he was just fine. He didnt take the rest breaks or the water i offered so he was doin' ok!

After the lap of the oval, we headed down a section of the pathway we hadnt been on for a couple months. It was pretty nice down there. It had some water, but the main pond was empty. So at least there is water and frogs and ducks hanging out there.

We headed off home. Phil was just cruising along. He even had a bit of a sticky-beak climbing a neighbours stairs. So no need to go easy on him at all. Told you he's tougher than he looks. Though when we did get home he nearly drank the water buckets dry!
