Zoe and Joe: Walking in the rain...

Just as I arrived at Zoe and Joe's place, there was a nice downpour to get us all wet before we even got started. But just as we hooked up the leads it slowed to a drizzle that came on and off.

Zoe and Joe are used to life in the outdoors, so when I asked them, '... wanna go for a walk?..' They headed straight for the gate... So my fate was sealed.... a walk in the rain it is!!

We headed off, and the brother and sister team just motored on as if it was any other day. The only concession to the rain, was that they'd do that wet dog shake that they can do (wish i could do that!) and we'd keep moving on. Joe was funny he was checking in on me after his shake, as if to say, '...if you don't shake, you'll get wet...!'

We did stick to the paths for the most part so our feets all got wet but at least we weren't squelching.

For some reason today, Joe was on the lookout for cars as we walked along the Path. "My " two Boxers are very good when crossing roads and very sensible so it's not like he is skittish... but for some reason he took interest in the cars going into a farm. Zoe didn't care so much, so she got to sniff about while Joe stood guard.

Zoe and Joe are such fit, happy and healthy Dogs and a little rain wont stop them. They always make the walks fun and they are covering huge amounts of k's, all in little bits at a time...
