Diesel and I loaded up for our usual walk and practice. He was excited to see me again, and once we settled we both jumped into the car.
We went to the park, and I even got some shade to park in, so that was pretty handy. We did a few loops practicing, and then we headed off to the river.
There had been some reports of snakes here and there But so far I haven't actually seen one. I do a lot of miles each day with my fur-friends and so far not a peep... or should that be a Hiss?! Im a lil disappointed really! Sure, I am on the lookout always and See snakes everywhere in the form of "stick-snakes", "plastic bag snakes', "bits of agg pipe snakes" and I eve have seen a red bellied black hose" along one walk... Who on earth makes a black hose with a red stripe on it..?!
On the bright side, I look so hard for snakes, to protect "My" Dogs, that I found a $2 coin...see...it pays to look for snakes!!!
The river side walk has been mown, so get down there and take advantage of the clear views of where your Dogs are walking...
But, like me...keep an eye out always, and maybe keep your Dog on a lead.
I took Diesel out on an old weir. He was watching ducks and was intently studying them... and he kept hearing a couple of very funny noises that got his attention... turned out it was a couple different species of frogs. Diesel was very interested in those!
We headed off again and walked along the nicely mown lawns and headed back to the car for the drive home.
Once again, Diesel collapsed in the back of the car, but in the short drive home, his batteries recharged and he was ready for Round 2!
Diesel...the unstoppable!
