Billy, '...you want more pats!?'

I also got to walk my other mate Billy this morning as well Did I ever tell you all that at school I had a mate called Billy… and we used a certain inflection whenever we said ...’ Billy…’ and 30 years later I still talk to Billy as if he was my old mate Billy!

Billy gave me a great welcome again, even though it was windy and a great big machine was eating trees nextdoor…so we couldn’t really talk to each other without yelling! So we just got the lead on and got away from the noise.

Once again, today Billy was holding me up for lots of pats and scratches. I thought we’d never get out of his street.’…yes Billy, I know… share the love matey…!’ Maybe he missed me for the whole 5 days we don’t get to see each other. It seems on the first walk of the week he is very glad to see me. ‘…yes Billy…it’s good to see you too… now get going ya big sook…’

So along the walk today, the wind was up and pretty strong, nearly blew my hat off on the Home run, and Billy’s ears looked like they might fly off. So at first Billy was head down and Butt up too. Hoovering up all the scents like Diesel was. Once again, I am sure Billy had inhaled so much dust and leaf litter that he had a big sneezing fit again.’…gee Billy, you alright there?’

We got to one of the big wide open parks and had a drinks break and a rest. We took some selfies but they didn’t work out so well. Billy was sharing the love so I couldn’t take decent pics. Billy and I have a great mate-ship… he’s so very casual, doesn’t get overly excited usually and is just fun to be around. Though today he had a bark at some silly dogs… but we kept on and he was ok with that…
