Billy was waiting for me again after hearing me pull up in my car. He gives a tail wag and runs to meet me by the side gate…. Let me in Billy…back up back up…as he sits in the way of the gate! Billy loves his walks and gives a lil cry, like, ‘…come on let’s go!’ He helps me out by poking his head through the collar and away we go.
I sort of had a plan for where we would walk today, but there were a few people out walking Dogs. Billy can be distracted at times, but I didn’t feel like following a couple of slow plodding people. So I did a Zig Zag around them… that happened twice. You see Billy and I book along at a nice rate of knots…so we didn’t want to get stuck behind slower walkers!
As usual Billy sets the pace. And we were going along pretty quickly and I offered an early drinks break just to see how Billy was. We did shade-hop, but we climbed a good sized hill and we had another drink break. Shortly after, we had a sit down under a tree and Billy quickly flopped down on the ground…’Bit tired are we Billy?’
We toddled home and shaded up a couple of times, but when we got home Billy was ready to play…”oh, so you didn’t get enough of a work out?’ but as I found a toy to play with, Billy flopped in the shade! I thought I’d rest up a little too and then went home… last I saw of Billy was him laying by the fence in the cool shade, a tired Billy!
Big walk today Billy!
