We decided that an earlier start to Phils day would be a good idea. Last week was a big one (maybe too big?) and I had Phil laying down in the shade and drinking some water along the way…and last I left him he was crashed on the nice cool tiles.
So today we started earlier for the cool temps and I would keep an eye out for some stiffness. But Phil was back to being his usual amusing self!
I had some bail-out plans to shorten the trip if needed, but Phil just powered on. We started off heading to walk along one of the cycleways. Along the way Phil got to see a whole bunch of birds, even spotting some up on some telegraph wires. How’s that for observant!? We had a look in some yards and up a few drains as we strolled by,
We cut from the cycleway into a freshly mown water course, so we got to walk up one of my favourite open spaces. We cruised along and jumped over to another park and walked up that one for a ways.
On the trip home we a whole bunch of (maybe?) finches and this got Phil very excited. He was doing his lil jumpy happy dance and snuffling in the bushes. He is all tail wags and happy when we spot some birds… today we saw them at about the same time, though Phil did spot some way before I saw or heard them.
Phil pretty much high-stepped it all the way today, so any stiffness after last weeks walk was all gone.
Good walking Phil!
