My Boxers are back…Yay!

Zoe and Joe have been out convalescing after a bit of a lurgy they both had. They have had a good long rest and have recuperated. So they were very happy to see me agin for the first time in a while. I’m glad to see you both too!

We had a good long bouncy welcome, but we hooked up the leads and off we went just like it was yesterday we last went for a walk!

We followed a cycleway down for a while and then jumped across to one of my fave watercourses. So it was nice to be able to walk Zoe and Joe there for their first time back in a while, and while the grass is still short.

Along the water course we went up and said hello to a horse. Joe was very interested in saying hello. Zoe was just hangin’ back with me mostly… I think she missed me! So we took some happy snaps with the horse and kept along the water course.

We jumped over to another cycleway and followed that for a while. We found some shade and had a big drink and a roll around in the cool grass. As I have said before. Zoe and Joe know the types of shady spots I like for them. So Joe is very helpful in finding a shady spot to rest. ‘…hey mike this one looks good…!’, Yes Joe…but how bout we get to the next one huh!?’

We continued along the walkway and turned around at the halfway marker and headed home. Although,it wasn’t an overly hot day, being out in the sunshine and walking so far we were all a bit worn out… so Joe picked out a lot of shady spots. Zoe is clever, as soon as Joe picks a spot she flops down and makes the most of our rest stops… Joe just stands there and takes a look around.

After a few shady rests on the way home, we made it and had a big drink and flopped in the shade! Ooops, sorry guys… but you both set the pace! I’m sure you enjoyed the walk anyway. Well done for the first day back in a while!
