Today I got to wake Zoe and Joe up!

Zoe and Joe are a couple of my very alert team. They either hear my car, or if I hide the car away, they can smell me from a little way away from their yard. It either says something about my personal hygiene or they have a great sense of smell. Maybe a little of each?

Today I got to Zoe and Joe’s place early enough for them to be still snoozing the morning away. I got to the gate and looked in, and no Boxers…I opened the gate, still no Boxers, but by the time I tried to quietly close the gate…they were onto me!

I almost felt sorry for them… they were still waking up when they were greeting me… so it was almost a subdued welcome…. For about 17 seconds!

We rigged up quickly and headed off into the cool morning. I sort of felt bad for my two Boxers. The other day, as we were walking under pretty warm conditions, we covered some ground. We drank lots of water and Joe picked out more rest stops than usual! So I thought I’d take it easy on them…even walking down a steep hill, to come home via the gently sloping uphillrun home. I think they appreciated that.

We still stopped for rests and drinks breaks, but Zoe and Joe were more interested in birds or wrestling me! Joe was very enthusiastic, but it was all fun… I like to see him have fun but keep it mellow!... Zoe, well she’s just lovely… almost pushing me over when I sit on the ground, with lots-o-love!

We still motored along and took in all the sights and sounds. We zigged and zagged through some back streets, down a big hill then into a watercourse and home. It was very pleasant in the cool of the morning, and I Am sure Zoe and Joe liked that too. When we got home… they went to the water bucket but didn’t flop limply in the shade! So that was a little less harsh on the Brother and Sister team… another great walk kids… see you next time.
