Hi, I’m Phil

Hi, my name is Phil and I like walks in the park, bird watching and gardening!

Wasn’t today’s walk an eventful one… it was very exciting and we came home pretty pooped.

We covered a pretty long distance today, it sort of crept up on us, but was surprised what my step counter was reading! We weren’t strolling along, that’s for sure, we were power walking… well I was… Phil was happily loping along. Can you believe it…Phil and I have walked over 120k’s together! He’s a very fit boy!

Along the way Phil was particularly interested in peoples gardens. I have noted that Phil particularly likes Agapanthas and other broad leafy plants…always something interesting in there.

We also saw more pigeons than we have ever seen. Phil was very very happy about that. We did our lil stalking game and we set off at a run( a very short one). Rest assured Phil was on the lead as always so no pigeons were harmed in the making of this adventure! I like birds too! And yes for those concerned they just looped back and settled in at the same spot… so they weren’t too disturbed by our fun..

I had planned to walk down a pathway that I particularly like, but about ¼ of the way in there were some locals on the loose so we headed off in another direction. Phil is a very calm boy around everyone, but who knows how these other dogs might behave?

We did have a couple of shady breaks but Phil didn’t take me up on them too much. We did stop for a good water break, and Phil drank half a water bottle, so we must have been chasing too many pigeons!

So we charted a course for another watercourse and we continued motoring along. We zigged and zagged, crossed a creek and headed up the hill and home. We were both pretty pooped at the end and Phil had a great big drink and crashed out on the tiles...!.
