Scarlett jogs along into the sunset.

We have been heading off in the afternoons with Scarlett, hoping to catch the change in temps of the early evenings.

It still seemed hot as the clouds were still around and made it a lil humid. I had a plan to walk to a spot where we could take a left down a water course, right up another park or straight ahead to yet more parks. I thought a nice shady rest and a drink straight ahead would be nice.

Scarlett is such a good natured girl. We sometimes pass by places where other Dogs are, and although not so sure about them, she’s very brave and we keep going… lots of pats along the way.

I stopped a couple times to see how Miss Scarlett was and as usual beneath her coat she was cool as a cucumber…lucky you Scarlett…. I’m sweating up a river here!

We kept going on up the hill and walked in the shade where we could. We got to the top and camped out under some trees for a water and rest break. Scarlett wasn’t interested in water and was happy to stand in the breeze that was picking up. I do worry that she doesn’t drink… but she knows best.

As we headed home, the shadows got longer and that breeze started to blow and cooled us down. It was very pleasant indeed in that wind. Well it made me very happy!’…its just wind, Mike’, said Scarlett a couple of times as she looked at me funny.

So although we had a wind against us, it was a cool breeze… thought the poor cyclists we saw were struggling into the wind.

Another nice long walk with Scarlett, that finished with a nice drop in temperature thanks to the wind… great walk Scarlett.
