Zoe and Joe down by the Riverside

Zoe and Joe have both been working very hard lately. So I thought we might take a few short cuts and head for the river.

It worked out to be a pretty good idea, as it was getting warmer when we kicked off today.

We zigged and zagged through a few parks and headed for some shade along the way for a rest and a drink. We made very good time, so it meant we could spend a lil more time in the water.

It must have been warm as Joe was happy to get wet… he wasn’t so keen when I offered a cool shower the other day, so he was happy to paddle about. Zoe pretty much headed in and led the way. She loves the water, so she had a good time splashing about.

We went to a couple of pools, one with a lil riffle and another with a deeper spot. Joe had got his fill of cooled heels but Zoe went in for a bit of a swim…. She seemed very happy about that and even after we walked in the dry sunny day, when we stopped for another rest she was still wet… I know this, coz when we sat down she takes any chance she can to share the love… just as well I don’t mind wet dogs!

Joe was in a playful mood today, as soon as he’d pick a shady rest stop, he would be sliding about on his back. Zoe would dive on me to give me licks.

Hilarious part of the walk! Ok so the Bro and sis are rolling about…and I’m doing random belly pats and leg grabs… when both Zoe and Joe had their back legs opposite each other…they thought it was me, but it was each other that they did this lil “Minions hand slappy fight!” well, that’s what it looked like to me They are so funny.

We all made it home, we had a lot to drink and a play in the river, so I am sure Zoe and Joe enjoyed themselves… See you both next time!
