I got to meet the very clever Peeno.

Today I was lucky enough to be introduced to and got to walk Peeno. She is a 1yr old Dalmatian that is very friendly, loves people and is very energetic but behaves very well. She has a nice light step that matches mine( so you know I like that) and despite being our first time walking together, we cranked out some Kilometres!

I get to walk Peeno for a little while as the walker of the family is taking time out on the injury bench, so I am lucky enough to fill-in. I have a number of folks who I have subbed-in for and it always seems to go well. It means the fur family member still gets their walk out of the yard(which Peeno really likes) and the usual walker gets to rest up, ready to get back onto the field.

Usually we don’t cover too much ground on a first walk as we get to know each other and see how clever we both are. Peeno is a very smart girl and the few little things I get my team to do, she just did!

Because it didn’t take too long to settle in, we sort of did a big loop from one of the cycleways and then down to the river and another loop back to the cycleway. We had a little splash about in the river and Peeno looked like she enjoyed the water a lot. A good chance to cool off those very fast paws!

That was a great first walk Peeno, and I think we’ll get along just fine. See you next time.
