Zoe and Joe: The rain last night didn’t cool us down.

Zoe and Joe churned out some more miles today, and despite the cooling rain over night we still worked up a sweat.
Today we walked up n down and ‘round and round on two of my favourite watercourses. We followed a cycle way for a little way today, but it was mostly pathless on our walk today. The ground was mostly wet and some very smll patches of water were still around, so it was nice and soft beneath the paws this morning.
We started off crossing a park, then up a small hill and then dropped down into the first watercourse. It hasn’t been mown recently, but the grass has been burned off by the sun so it was pretty short. Joe was already finding shady spots but we held off for a little while and stopped for a drinks break. Then we were off again.
The cycle way we jumped on is part of a couple of paths and alleyways that link through to another long cycleway but by the time we walked a few hundred metres, we jumped off it again and went into the open space of the next watercourse. We had a few shady rest stops as designated by Joe… and we had another “official” drink and rest break along the way.
It was thirsty work again, with the two Boxers drinking 1.5 litres and had more when we got home again.
It was a well earned flop in the cool shade and cold concrete…well done Zoe and Joe
