Billy and I lose a swimming hole…

You all know Billy and I get to play in the water occasionally. We had a spot in a park, relatively closeby, but the river has run dry, so no more dipping in the pool. There.

We also had a nice dam to splash about in, but we seem to have lost that one too!

Its been a while since we walked along the fencleline that backs on to a farm. The grass has been a bit out of control, but the BRC had it all nicely mown, so I thought we’d head out and take a peek. There were to be some housing development activities going on so I thought we’d check it all out.

The lovely Bella was still staying over at Billy’s place so we all went to see if we still had a dam.

We walked over to where the dam was and it was now part of some “rolling hills” constructed to have new homes built on them… no more dam. It looked now to be a main road looping round the development.

It always nice to see that Bathurst is becoming popular and lots of folks moving out here, but it is sad we lost a swimming hole for our fur friends… I wonder if council will build a Dog friendly splash park someday… that’d be a hoot!

Looks like we’ll have to find another place to swim… I still have one more up my sleeve big guy! See ya next time Billy!
