One of my fave walks with billy, doesn’t have all that long until we are unable to enjoy the rolling farmland. I mentioned before that the area is being developed, so there is a lot of activity to prepare it all for streets and houses.
So we are both making use of the walk for as long as we can. Also, the lawn slashing has been really good lately so is all nice and clear so we can walk with out too many dragons in the long grass.
Last week Billy and I had to share our walk time with one of Billy’s friends, so today was back to normal. Billy is always happy to see me after the weekend, but today he seemed even more affectionate. So we stopped a lot to have a pat or five!
We walked along our usual fenceline and along the way we got to see some sheep. I haven’t seen sheep in this paddock before, so it was a bit exciting for Billy. All the smells he was investigating along the way was added to with that distinctively sheepy smell. Billy seemed to like that and he had a good look at them all, but behaved well. The sheep of course walked away, I am sure they are used to working Dogs around the place, and I am sure they thought Billy was there to round them up.
We walked pretty much to the end of the line again and watched some of the activity of the trucks and heavy equipment.
After a drink, we headed off againand eventually made it home after seeing a couple of kangaroos and some duck… I don’t think Billy noticed those…he was too distracted by sheepy smells! Good walking again to day Billy…see you soon.
