I also got to walk with Scarlett today and I know she loves the river so after Peeno we went down for a paddle and a cool off.
It was a little bit exciting as it was later in the afternoon so a bunch of local kids were jumping of (very scary) embankments into the water below, while others used a rope swing. Scarlett was interested in the noise of splashes and screams and people laughing. I think she wanted to go and take a closer look.
We had a little wade in the pools and the riffles and then headed off for a long (drying off) walk along the paths. We stopped in the shade for a rest and a drink, but Scarlett wasn’t really interested in a drink…she was more interested in the back and ear scratches I was giving out. She is such a funny girl when she gets right up in my face to say hello… no concern about personal space at all!
After the shady rest we headed off and we got to meet a few dogs along the way. Scarlett is always friendly and interested in others, but we give everyone a wide berth. She is happy to watch from a distance so we just do that and every ones happy.
We had one more shady rest and a drink offer, but Scarlett was happy just hanging out in the shade.
On the way home we saw another couple of Dogs and they were friendly enough as we passed by.
Its so nice to walk with Scarlett, she is such a casual and happy girl, she loves her walks and is racking up some miles in the process. Well done Scarlett, see you again soon.
