Max and Roger are Back! Woo hoo!

Every now and then, I get a call from some old friends and it always makes me smile. Max and Roger always put a smile on my face. I have seen their pics up of them both at school studying hard. They looked like they were having so much fun. I also got to see them and say hello a couple times and I think they remembered me!

So I get a call to take the boys for a walk and I’m like hellz-yeah!

It was really hot and windy today, and I was almost going to hold off till later in the day… but they are tough boys and I took water with me so we’d be just fine.

We headed off through some back streets and alleyways and found our way to a water course (yet another one) that I hadn’t seen before. It was very nice and had shady spots as well as lots of new trees planted. On our first drink stop the boys drank all my water! Very thirsty boys. But that’s ok we could resupply at friendly neighbours taps. So we ended up having 3 water breaks with the 3rd one ending in a mini water fight… we all got a lil wet, but I don’t think any of us cared!

We had a couple of rest braks in the shade of trees. On the last one, the boys worked out what to do, and we all flopped in the cool shady grass!

We made it home just fine if not a little pooped. But there was a nice pool of water waiting that the boys went straight for!

It was so nice to see Max and Roger again. They are such active and curious boys and love their walks. Max likes to lead the way and Roger hangs back with me, but both can really cover the Kilkometres. Even though we took it easy and drank and rested we still marched out a good distance!
