Phil gets to see Santa Paws.

Today was the first walk after Phil took a quick holiday. I was very lucky and picked him up from his motel all in time to meet up with his family again. He was very happy to see everyone come home and was glad to be back home too.

We did a funny old walk today. We covered a lot of kilometers, but did it in a funny double fish-hook kinda walk. There was one destination I wanted to get to, but we made such good time we doubled back. Then we set off for another spot and we motored along to see where we’d get to.

We pretty much strode along the whole time…I was looking for a slow day today, but Phil had other ideas. He was very keen for our walk today as we had to skip one last weekend. He was rewarded by a few pigeons and he got very excited. But he was very interested in some sparrows too, just a few flitting about in the trees. We even got about a foot away from a magpie on a low fence… Phil was too busy sticky-beaking down a driveway to notice… but he was in easy pecking distance,should the magpie have wanted to, but we got away safely.

Today, Phil is going for a photo-shoot with Santa Paws so he was all clean and tidy when I got him and I promised to keep him clean! What was hilarious was we were jogging along a cycleway and Phil stopped to smell som type of bird leavings when I felt a tug on the lead and it was Phil, just about to dive and roll in whatever it was! No Phil, No! I coaught him just in time, so hopefully he was as tidy on the return as when we started!

Great walk today Phil… and thankyou for the Christmas gift too! I love a surprise!
