Zoe Joe and I dodge the rain.

We have already seen how tough my two Boxers are…a little while ago we headed off into patchy rain, and got a little wet. They kept marching on as happy as they usually are, shaking off the rain every now and then.

So today when I looked out the window and saw the rain slow I hurried off to get Zoe and Joe. We timed it well and made it just fine without getting wet. It was a little humid out there, but that was ok.

We followed a cycle way for part of the walk and then walked along a grassy path along the road. With the rain and cooler temperatures there was a lot to smell. Zoe especially likes to sniff about… and it’s the only time she gets very bossy and wants to find out what it is. Some times Joe happens to stand in the way as Zoe buries her way under Joe! Shes so funny. Ages ago in the search of a scent, Joe was lifted off the ground… this time it wasn’t so energetic.

We had a great walk today… Joe was out front leading the way. He would sometimes check in to see how we were going. He really takes time out to make sure we are ok and he is always first to spy out people and dogs…he let me know who’s coming up. Zoe on the other hand is always first to wag a tail at my random pats. She loves a little attention, and when we stop she’s always close by to share the love. Joe pretends he doesn’t need pats and back scratches…. But he does a pretty crazy contortion in tail wagging happiness!

We didn’t do too much cool grass rolling today. It was cool enough and a drinks break seemed enough of a rest. Though we still did have a couple of small rolls started by “serious-boy-joe”!

After the rest break we headed off home and made great time with only a couple of stops. The cool weather makes a difference. Though the twins still drank lots and flopped on the ground at the end.
