Happy New Year Muriel

I knew there was something missing lately! It’s been a whole 2 weeks since I saw Muriel!

With the holiday season, Muriel has been very busy and for the last few days has been staying with a friend in town. So it was a nice surprise( I hope) when I arrived at her holiday house ready to take her for a walk. She seemed very happy and even pretty excited to see me. So that was a really nice way to start the new year.

With Muriel staying closer to town we did a little bit of exploration… Muriel was very keen to show me around. She took hold of her lead and away we went.

We did some back street shuffles and arrived at one of the nice family parks here in Bathurst. It was pretty quiet still, after the big fireworks the other night all those kids recovering from a late night and probably a sugar coma! So we got to do a lap of that park then headed towards some sporting courts and did a lap of that, then we looped into the mini railway. It’s a nice park and is pretty cool, it’s the second time I have visited the mini train tracks…it brings out the kid in me!

So we lapped along the rail lines then off to the kids park again, did a lap of that then home. It was quite a big walk today. I think Muriel was keen to show me around. We made it home and we were both pretty pooped. Although we had stopped for a couple of drink stops and a couple of shady rest breaks, we were both pretty thirsty.

I am sure Muriel is resting up in the shade of the holiday house … good walk Muriel… Happy New Year!
