Scarlett is such a busy girl with family, Christmas, New Year and her Second Birthday celebrations, that I didn’t get to see her for a lil while. So it was nice to have a walk with her this afternoon.
With that warm weather out we held off even later than we normally do, so that was a pretty good move. Despite the warm weather we still scooted along and covered a few K’s. We almost made it out along a cycle way to the junction of a nice country road.
We passed a lot of people along the way, out on their Sunday walk. Lots of kids and a few families with fur-family members. So Scarlett was a popular girl. Everyone seems to love Scarlett. We kept on trotting along and saw a few cows as well as a few magpies out for dinner.
It was a pretty flat walk, and with the slightly cooler temps we covered some good ground. No matter how many times I walk with Scarlett, its always nice and easy and she has that familiar Scarlett pitter patter as we go along… very relaxing! She was having a good time too… she was taking a pause to examine lots of scents. Maybe today has been busy for our four legged friends along this path way. She was taking time out more than usual.
We made it just short of a main road but had a rest and water break. As usual Scarlett didn’t drink… well a couple of little sips, but she didn’t even sit or lay out for a rest. She’s very fit!
We made good time home and I reckon she was a lil tired towards the end. We had a couple of rest breaks just in case, but she was happier to keep on going. Good walk today Scarlett you’ve clocked up over 60km! Woo hoo!
