Zoe and Joe stretch their legs

I’m not quite sure what they put in Zoe and Joes food, but they seem to love just charging down the miles! Always full of energy, and even when pooped they keep up a steady pace.

Today we got an early start so it wasn’t all that hot and Zoe and Joe like it like that. A few degrees drop in temp and we can really charge down those miles! We started off by following a cycleway that led to a nice open, and freshly mown watercourse. Its always so nice to walk in open spaces that have that manicured feel to them! Well, I am sure my team like it that way. There was even some dew around that Zoe and Joe had a roll in and a shake of the excess water.

It was pretty quiet in that section, so we didn’t have much to say. We exited the parkland and crossed the road. Zoe and Joe are pretty patient as we cross the busy road and don’t get antsy when we have to wait a bit.

The shadows were pretty long still and we were able to stick to shady spots as we went. It was pretty nice out this morning and not very busy at all, so it was a pleasant walk to our halfway point. The guys were still full of beans so I knew not to sit on the ground while they drank. Sometimes you just get a feeling that these two wouldn’t let me up if I sat. Zoe was happy to try and climb on me on the seat I had found, and Joe stood look out.

We got to see a couple of walkers and one owner of a Dog, but basically we were all happy for a rest and a drink. Zoe and Joe are always thirsty walkers!

We zigged and zagged our way home, with the final hill…going…on…forever! But was all made it home. Both Zoe and Joe headed for the water bucket and by the time I’d put their leads away, they had both flopped on the cool concrete!...I was almost going to join them… but I had a busy morning… great walk again today…that was a long one!
