Zoe Joe and I head off into the rain!

By the Time I got to Zoe and Joes place I was in a happy mood and whistling while we walked. These two always make me smile due to their genuine keenness (is that a word?) and happy nature. Rain hail or shine these two have a happy face… and wiggly tails!

Today I started off bright and early… well, I should say dull and early… on account of grey clouds and drizzle. Butit was all good as I had a breakfast date with some friends, both Dogs and cats, and one thing lead to another and we played fetch in the rain!

It was still raining lightly as I made my way to Zoe and Joes and I almost felt bad about taking them out. The rain had eased to a drizzle and I relied on the fact that they would be keen. I am glad I trusted my judgment on them and we headed off.

I found myself whistling in the rain walking with my Favourite twins, so it wasn’t too bad really! I do like miserable weather (in small doses mind you). Joe was looking at me funny as I whistled away… maybe he thinks I am a little crazy too! Zoe was happy and trotted beside me at times… I reckon she thought that between Joe and I we had it all sorted!

We basically stuck to the cycle ways today. I wanted to see some of the water courses we use and check the runoff… but despite the nice constant rain showers there was only a little run off. In a former life I always got to check river levels and gauge rainfall, but this was fun as we could jump in Puddles.

We got wet, of course, but Zoe and Joe only had a few shakes. I was in my day glo orange rain jacket and we all made a sight as we all had matching orange acoutremonts… Zoe and Joe in orange leads and me in an orange jacket.

What a difference the cool rainy weather makes… My two Boxers were full of beans and wanted me to keep on going when we got back. Zoe was all like. ‘…pleeeese don’t go…’, and Joe was blocking my exit…’, next time I’ll have to walk faster!!
