Scarlett: Lighter on her feet!

Scarlett was all happy and bouncy to see me for our afternoon walk. She looked a little different, ‘…have you done something with your hair?

Scarlett had been having a brush-down to remove the winter coat she still had on, so I am sure she was glad I noticed!

We took off for our walk and she even seemed lighter on her feet than usual. We headed along one of the cycle networks and just motored along in the early evening sunshine. The past few times we have been out it has still been quite warm but today, was relatively cooler after the rain showers we have been having lately.

On the way out, we pretty much had the whole walk to ourselves. And we made it all the way up to where there are usually some horses that live nearby the pathway. There were only a few today and they were off probably having dinner in a far paddock. So we weren’t as interesting as food.

After the halfway point, we went on a little further and turned around and headed for home. Along the way we met up with a pretty friendly fur-friend. We said our hello’s and off we went. There were a lot of people out for their evening walks. Parents, kids, grand parents, those walking solo and those paired up. We passed a few more Dogs out for a walk and they were all pretty nice to us too.

Its really nice to be out and about. Scarlett got to investigate a lot of sights smells and sounds. She seemed to be really enjoying herself! It was also nice to see her all nice and confident as we passed people and other Dogs. Tail up ears pricked up and a goofy smile on her face as she looked back at me to see if I was all ok. Scarlett is a social girl and likes to see who is out and about. She always has admirers when we meet people, and she takes it all in her stride, always happy smiley and a tail wag!

It was such a nice afternoon walk and we made really good time on our way back…even though we walked on past the halfway time mark. Nice speedy walk today Scarlett…
