I had planned an early walk with Zoe and Joe this morning but I was a little late getting going this morning. Not that they cared so much, they didn’t have me down in their day-planner for any specific time.
No matter how many times we have walked together, it always makes me smile when We see each other, its like a long lost reunion! We had our nice welcome hello and got going.
I had a plan for a walk that ended with a nice big hill, but I decided against that as I was a lil slow myself…not that the Boxers were…in fact Zoe dropped early in the trek to roll in some shady wet grass! It did look like fun… Joe just looked at Zoe and rolled his eyes and as usual stood watch while I gave Zoe belly rubs between roll-overs
We decided that a nice long hill would be nicer, so we headed for a watercourse that we all like. For its nice open space and shady spots. We had a drink at the bottom of the hill and had a little rest. While Zoe was having a drink and trying to give my face licks, making me laugh out loud with her determination to plant a face lick (sometimes she succeeds!) Joe had dropped into roll position and rolled off down the hill to the length of the lead, came to me for a pat and rolled off again…! Funny boy.
Zoe is always about the love, but today Joe was in on the back scratches and the rolly belly rubs. So he was about the love today. Usually hes a very reserved boy!
We headed off up the long hill and had another rest in some shady wet grass. We all got a bit wet sitting and rolling…but we shook it off. The grass was about as long as Id walk in it, and there was a lot to smell and snuffle about in the damp clover and green grass. So Zoe and Joe enjoyed their walk.
On the way home finally, Joe saw some kids laughing and playing on bikes and scooters and he was really keen to say hello. But I though having two excited Boxers would be a lot to handle so he had to be happy with just walking by. Zoe was more interested in the scents she was hunting down!
It was great to see you guys again… see you soon for another adventure.
