After a nice day at “the office” (with Ninja, Jack, Abi, Zoe, Joe, & Betty) I got to spend the early evening out on a walk with Scarlett. It was lovely out there as there was a cooling breeze so we headed off at a trot!
When I arrived Scarlett was getting some more combing so she was lighter still, as compared to last week. She definitely has that summery look! Im sure she’s pretty comfortable under that summer coat!
We headed off and It was actually quite windy and we were walking into a headwind. Scarlett was so light on her feet I am sure she felt the headwind, but we still made good progress. Today I wanted to do a nice big loop that does some cycle way walking, then a back street shuffle, looping around the food factory! And back onto the cycleways again.
We were speeding along today, so I am glad we took this route…I needed something to slow my friend Scarlett down. I offered a couple of rest stops and she was happy to keep going…so Mike didn’t even get a rest today!
Scarlett was having a great time… she had her tail up and head held high when we came across other Dogs… she was feeling very boss-like today I think. I like seeing my Dogs happy and confident and having a good time… I even heard Scarlett bark for the first time! There was a silly Dog making some noise as we passed by… and Just like Billy, she gave a couple of barks as a ‘…be quiet you…!’
On the way home we had a tailwind so it was a cruise home and we made very good time for the distance we covered. Todays walk was one of our longest together so that was nice… though, it mustn’t have been long enough, as Scarlett was hardly breathing heavily at all!
Nice walking Scarlett…just passing her 70km mark! Well done!
