Zoe, Joe and I have pretty much been following our noses (especially Zoe) and sort of ended up doing loops that one way or another included a couple of favourite parks and sometimes all the parks at once in one of the directions we take. Today I had a plan!
We hadn’t been to another favourite park we like, for a little while now so I had a mission in mind. So we headed off up the hill and away we went. Zoe is the most easily distracted by scents at times and today was a good day for smells! So Zoe was in her own world of excitement with whatever it was she was tracking! Though she is always good that when both Joe and I get bored and want to go…she’s happy to hit the trails…she’s such a good Girl.
Joe was on a roll today too! We all know he’s the very serious boy of the group. Sure he lets his hair down and has a roll around while no one is looking, then its back to business of keeping an eye out. He is very focused on keeping an eye on whats going on. Today though…Joe was full of sharing the love!
When we’d stop for a drink or a rest he was all wanting to play and wrestle. Zoe of course gets involved just to try and land the face licks. But Joe was very friendly and playful in a nice way… it was so much fun… I did end up with Boxer drool all over me… but it was fun to see Joe so playful!
We topped the hill and circled to some sporting ovals and the lil creek I like and stopped for a rest and a drink. It was nice in the shade and as it was relatively cool, Zoe and Joe were ready top go pretty quick.
We stopped a couple of times for a rest, Joe picked one of them so we’d been walking pretty solidly. At each stop we had the aforementioned play!
We made it home and it was thirsty work and both my Boxers cooled off in the shaded path. Joe wasn’t too keen on me going, but went and shaded up, while Zope looked at me like…don’t go yet! We’ll have to do that walk again soon!
