Billy and I chill on the hill…

I have always said Billy is a casual kinda guy. He’s always happy to see me and likes to share the love (we had a couple stops today for no reason other than to share some random acts of pats and scratches) and is always happy to walk pretty much anywhere. Today we headed for the top of a hill and had a nice rest and a drink of water.

Today started off with a little excitement as there were a lot of other dogs interested in Billy as we walked by. Billy has a pretty good tolerance for other dogs if they keep to themselves and don’t make much noise. For some reason there were a lot making noise today. The first 3 or 4 he took pretty well but when the last few started up he did his, ‘…get back in ya box…’ bark. Its actually quite cute really. Tail standing up and his confident stride! (but I don’t encourage barking back too much) After a couple barks he was done, made his point and we kept going.

Despite the excitement… Billy soon stopped me again, for some more pats! He’s such a good guy… settles down and just loves his walk again!

Just to show how good a mood he was in, we passed another couple of dogs, but they passed by with no commotion and Billy was happy with that.

So we skirted around the bottom of a hill following some paths and cycleways crossing parks. We headed off up the hill and we pretty much just marched up, without too much effort. When we got to the top we found a shady spot to have a drink.

While we were stopped Billy kept getting up moving and laying down getting up and laying down. I asked him, ‘…what…you got ants in your pants…?’ and I looked down to see that he actually did…and so did I! so we had to abandon the pleasant shade and scratch off ants. I probably got more than Billy coz after I checked he was ok…I had to stop a few times to get ants outta my socks!

After the ants in our pants, we headed for home and it was a nice downhill run.
