Weekends with friends

Things are starting to pick up with a variety of activities keeping me busy.

This morning started off at 05:00 to do a drive out to some farm friends for an early breakfast and watch the sun peep over the hills. That was pretty nice. I got to feed a doggy fur-friend, and the chickens and 2 horses and a pony. It’s really fun getting to know these guys, even though it was early!

Then it was back into town for a still early breakfast meet with one of my new fur friends. We had a bit of a play with fetch and tu-o-war and a tag kinda game. They really like that. It was also nice that they remembered me. We have only worked together a couple times and once they saw me ran up and was all tail waggy and very happy to see me… It’s nice to be remembered fondly!

Then it was over to my other morning trio (and their roomies, 2 x Cats) for lots of fetch, catch and generally running about like crazy people (well not the cats…they were just laughing at us)! We stopped for breakfast and a drink and they were all keen to get going again!

Then I went and visited another couple of new fur-friends for a walk and then breakfast. I forgot to look at my watch for when we started, but by the time I looked at my step meter we’d pretty much walked a huge distance already and we were only half way! We did make it back but it was two very pooped kids that just flopped in the shade and didn’t really even worry too much about breakfast at all… though the water bucket went to “low-tide” pretty quick!

Later this evening… its off for a walk for the first time with some friends (we have had dinner together), so that should be a fun walk with some very friendly fur-family members. Then out to the never-ending-fetch trio…. Phew!

I am having so much fun doing a variety of things and meeting new friends and visiting, feeding, playing walking and hanging out with them while family is away for the day or two or even couple weeks! I think they are enjoying themselves at home and not missing their families too much!
