Foggy Doggy walks with Phil…

It was an early start for Phil again, and it was pretty foggy out there today. I think Phil really likes the cooler walks and for a little while the fog was pretty pleasant to walk in. But as the sun peeped through it got more humid… but we motored on!
By the time I got to Phils place this morning, I had been pretty busy with a bunch of breakfasts for some fur friends as well as the family of Chickens, Horses and their farm animal friendly Doggy guard. So I had been up for a while and was ready to rock and roll with Phil…
…by the looks of it Phil was ready to rock and roll too! He was very eager to get going and before we could say hello, he was off at the front gate! He was very happy to see me… but even happier for our foggy walk… I think he was on the lookout for a variety of birds!
It occurred to me that we hadn’t done one of our longer loops that allows for a speedy run. Some tracks are fast, and some are slower, so this one was one of the faster ones.
Phil barely notices the speed we walk, nor the distances either for that matter! By the time we made it to the last hill…I was hoping for Phil to call for a stop… but he didn’t (and I did offer a few times…he didn’t take the hint!), So we just kept on going. By about ¾ of the way up, pPhils tongue had just started to loll about, so at least the final hill got him…
But just as I was thinking, ‘…phew, that was a hard one…’, Phil started bouncing to the flight of some pigeons…! He did take a long drink but was otherwise not too phased… he was panting a little when I left… hopefully he had a nice long nap after I had gone…I know I needed one!
