Rainy skies with Scarlett.

Even though it was grey outside it looked like the rain would hold off for us as we went for a walk. It would be nice to be able to walk in the cool breezy afternoon for a change. Scarlet never seems to mind either way, but I am sure she appreciated the cooler temps.
We walked off towards the very dark clouds that looked like they would provide a lot of rain but none was forthcoming yet. So we kept on walking along the pathway by the river. We were making good time, as we always do with Scarlett and we took a break near our halfway point.
On the way back we visited with some cows and met up with a few people, with some also walking their dogs. Scarlet is always sociable and likes to meet new people especially the kids., As we walked I felt a few spits of rain, and was thinking it might rain soon so we sped up just a little. Everyone had deserted and we were pretty much all alone on the path. The rain started falling and I decided to head home. Scarlett took a few shakes to get the rain off, but we made it home mostly dry.
As we walked home faster than anticipate to avoid the rain, we got home pretty early. I will have to owe you a little longer walk next time. As it was, the rain didn’t really fall till much later, so really, we timed it pretty well! Good walking Scarlett!
