The past little while I have been visiting some friends out of town. The family of Farm friends are Tippy the chief guard dog and chicken-keeper-eye-on girl, Rocky, Rosie and Scout the horses and pony and of course the girls in the chicken Coup.
After feeding Tippy I gather up the feed mix for the Horses and pony and the feed for the girls. Place it all in separate buckets, load up the wheel barrow and follow Tippy to the Yards and chicken coup. I hadn’t met Rocky before. He was a big boy but pretty friendly for our first meet. Rosie and Scout looked like they remembered me so it was business as usual with them. I loaded up everyone feeders and then headed for the chicken coup.
I had also loaded the wheelbarrow with all the yummy scraps from the hay bales, horse pellets and chaff to place in the coup. The girls seemed to like this and didn’t really bother with the bucket of chicken feed I had to fill their feeder. It’s always nice to see even my chicken friends having fun, scratching about and having a good feed, exercise and look around.
I went back to the yards to check on Rocky, Rosie and Scout and check their water troughs were full checked all the gates and locked the girls in for the day. Tippy and I headed of to fill her water bucket and generally run around like crazy people. Tippy got pretty wet from running in the grass and looked all muddy and dirty by the time I left! But I am sure she had fun helping me out.
It was great to see you all again…take care…
