Muriel by the river

It was a lovely cool morning this morning…so much so that I wore a vest for our walk today. Muriel likes the cooler weather. We always cover a good distance when its cooler. Muriel has walked over 110km… what a big effort!
We headed off and I was aiming for a different destination originally, but we altered and headed for the river instead. It turned out to be a great idea… just following our noses! We made pretty good time and we were able to hang by the water’s edge for a little while and enjoy the morning sunshine.
Muriel loves the water and when she is with her mum she gets off the lead and plays fetch. I always keep “my” Dogs on a lead just to be on the safe side. Muriel went in and was splashing about and having fun. Muriel loves the water so was very happy for the decision to head to the water.
After a bit of a splash and a walk around to investigate the river bank, we went back in for another paddle before heading home.
Muriel and I got to see lots of people again and a few were walking their Fur-family members as well, so there were lots of lucky Dogs out there today.
Even though we covered a nice distance today, I only just raised a sweat and Muriel was hardly even worn out. She is such a fit girl… apparently she did a nice long walk yesterday too… so she is doing very well. Great job Muriel… see you in a couple of weeks!
