Spot Billy!

Even though we had done a part of this walk the other day, we went back for a better look. There is some heavy earth moving equipment working not too far from Billy’s place and they were hard at it the other day. So while it was quiet, we thought we’d have a sticky beak.
Now although the Red-Dog has his hi-vis coat on all the time we kept way out of the way and took a peek at what was going on. You can see where some of the main streets will be and where some of the houses will go.
I mentioned a while back that the waterhole Billy has swum in is gone, and there is a small creek that we think won’t last too much longer either. So it will be interesting to see what the monster truck do with it… it would be nice to think we could have a nice water course space in there!
Either way… Billy and I will be the first once to see how it all goes…and we’ll have a whole new neighbourhood to visit.
So we jumped up one of the alleyways and left the trucks to their work. The walk to that point had been through farmland, now mostly being worked on, and now we’d just zig and zag around the backstreets til we got home. Although there is lots to see and smell in the pasture land, Billy’s nose was kept just as busy in the burbs. Lots of “people” and their owners had probably walked around here in the mornings and evenings. So Billy got to check them out too.
We stopped for a rest and a drink under the shade of a tree. Billy checked out my bag again, thinking there might be more treats in there again. But he didn’t find any (I had wrapped and sealed them off properly this time!) so he was happy to stretch out and take the rest while he could.
So we headed home by looping around to another alleyway we found the other day (so handy all these lil urban walks) that led to a watercourse nearby. Even though it was warm out, and we were pretty pooped, Billy just flopped in the shade of his favourite shrubs and he was all done! No rope toy chasing or anything! He must’ve been pooped! Good walk today Billy!
