Muriel is always a busy girl, and for a few days she got to do a sleep-over at a friends place. It sounded like there was a whole bunch of friends staying over and they were having a ball. Never a dull moment and it sounded like a hilarious time was had by all!
When Muriels mum came home, Muriel got a bit of a work out with some big walks over the past few days, so by the time we set off, she had already done a fair few kilometres this week.
As always Muriel was excited to see me and keen to hit the road. But it wasn’t long before we set a pace that was very casual indeed! Muriel is never a slacker when it comes to our walks and she always sets a deceptively fast pace. But today she was very content to just mosey along, have a good sniff-about and generally see what is what.
A long long time ago Muriels Mum told me sometimes tries to put one over on her walkers by lingering too long at interesting scents. I’m pretty cool about having a good smell and then moving along. Today though, Muriel was adamant about some of the scents and she just had to spend some time. It’s the first time she has done that with mer, and because she had done some k’s this week we decided to just go with it and have a very casual walk!
What a lovely change! I said to Muriels Mum, that I wasn’t sure if I was slowing down for her or she was slowing down for me…but either way we enjoyed a nice stroll today!
So we went with it and got to visit the horse paddocks and turned for home. The walk home was a lovely stroll in the morning sunshine, with people passing by on the way to work…so we definitely had the better deal, sunshine, and lazy walks… beats going to work anyday!
So it was a very nice morning walk today, what we lost in distance, we made up for in relaxation!
We’ll see you next week Muriel… I’m liking these strolls…put me down for another one of those!
