Billy was being very sensible and shading up at home when I arrived. By the end of our walk Billy flopped back down in almost the exact same spot to rest and cool off… like he hadn’t even been anywhere! Today, we stuck to another area that has lots of trees and lots of shade.
We zigged and zagged our way about today, following the shady trees and resting up and having a few drinks along the way. For some reason, Billy was very interested in peoples gardens today. He doesn’t often get too excited or distracted by things (well except that cat we saw the other day…and we saw it in exactly the same spot again today… silly thing… Billy went straight into the bushes and I thought, ‘…no way that cat is still gonna be there…?’, but it was and zooooom out it ran for cover. Needless to say, Billy was very pleased with himself!
Maybe he though every bush might have a cat under it, that sparked his interests horticultural!? But he was looking deep into a few gardens with particular interest today. I took a couple of happy snaps of Billy tail deep in some shrubs, not very flattering pics, but we’ll see how they turn out.
We had a few rummages about in gardens and had some good shady rest breaks so we didn’t get too hot. Each break Billy would sprawl out in the cool grass and look at me like he was saying , ‘…aahhhh!’ But we hit the road and headed for home and the shady spots and the water bucket.
Another big effort today Billy, as always, it’s been fun! See you soon. I’ll bring the weeding fork and pruners next time!
