So, just as two of my team passed 260 km, my two newest recruits have just started their own journey to who knows how many k’s. Either way just a few k’s here and a few k’s there all add up and make for happy healthy and sometimes pooped pooches. So, Leo and Sadie…welcome!
I didn’t tell Leo and Sadie that a couple of my team members just walked from here to Sydney and back out to paramatta! I didn’t want them to feel too overwhelmed! So we headed off on our own little journey that started with 1 step a couple of days ago.
My friends Leo and Sadie get to walk in a very Hilly area, so almost no matter which direction we head, there is a hill in there somewhere! EEK! I did take it easy on them for the first walk and stayed mostly on the flats, but today we set off in a loop to see what we would be up against. …and boy…aren’t Leo and Sadie going to be fit.
There were a couple of big hills and a couple of nice flats and we took it pretty easy and even took in some historical sites along the way…so it was a very educational walk. Well it was for me…maybe Leo and Sadie already had their tours of the local area.
It was also very busy with passing by lots of home and yard-bound Dogs. They all wanted to say hello with varying degrees of enthusiasm! We did manage to get past a few without too much excitement so that was pretty good. Both Leo and Sadie have been going to school and the lessons in chillin’ after big excitements, are paying off, and we could continue on and enjoy the walk.
I think Leo and Sadie will be very solid walkers and although Leo Hung back with me in the last kilometre or so, I think these two will be very fit staffies indeed. Not to mention my fitness too! Don’t worry Leo, I was hanging back there for a reason too you know! Phew…what a walk!
