Today we made use of the local park that has a whole bunch of pathways that shoot off in all directions. No matter which way you go you are only another alleyway from another off shoot. I had to be careful not to get lost in my Monday morning fuzziness. Zoe and Joe led the way so we didn’t get too lost!
I mentioned a while ago that there is a local watercourse / park near Zoe and Joes place that has one main path through the middle of it with at least 6-7 off shoots that you can take to explore. It’s a nice option if you don’t want to be far from home, but if you walk the “perimeter” you cover quite a lot of K’s.
Zoe Joe and I took an off shoot that leads up to the top of the hill that overlooks the Valley and then links to other main roots to other parks. We did a crazy loop through culdesacs and alleyways that brought us back to another of the half dozen walkways. The guys were making good time so we then did this weird pretzel like double back and then followed a nice cycle/walkway. Very pleasant.
Before we joined the cycleway we had a drink and rest break. Zoe and Joe couldn’t have been too thirsty as after a quick drink they dived bombed me in a joint effort to wrestle me to the ground…again! They are a formidable team when they join forces! But I managed to clamber out of the boisterous boxers efforts to hold me down… just!
So after the wrestle we followed the cycleway and stopped a couple of times for shady breaks, one called by Joe and another by Zoe. They are getting quite good at picking spots I like and that makes it hard not to want to stop and roll in the cool grass! We had another drink and continued on to the last park before home, found some shade and Zoe called a time out for more grassy rolls fun… funny kids!
We headed for the last stretch home to the cool water bucket and the shady yard. Today must have been a better workout, as Zoe and Joe didn’t try to keep me from leaving! Instead they shaded up for a relaxing lay down! See you next time kids!
