Trust me Muriel, we're not lost!

Over the past lil while I have mix ‘n’ matching different walks by crossing one trail to get to another, doing clock-wise and anti-clockwise loops, diving down alley ways and generally going all over the place. I think I confused Muriel a couple of times, but we had a great walk and we didn’t get lost!

Muriel is an old hand at many of the walks around Bathurst. Her Mum and all of her friends see to that. With walks here and there, Muriel gets around. Today I passed by the start of maybe 3 walks and passed the exits of another 3 before we had even go ½ way along todays walk. So Muriel was looking at me strange a lot today!

We started off in the long shadows of the morning and it was nicely cool in the shade. But after exiting an alleyway were were blinded by the rising sun. So that was very nice and we soaked up the sun-shiny morning. Then we started our loopy adventure…

I am pretty sure Muriel thought we would head home a few times and started to lead the way… as she does at times… but I was like, ‘..nah…! lets go this way…!’ Muriel followed but may have thought I had gone a little loopy myself! All this mixing up different walks with each other! But we finally started making sense and selected a route, and headed off up one of our favourite water courses and just poked along that for a while. No short cuts home from this point! So no more strange looks from Muriel.

Well, almost! When we finally were heading for home Muriel looked at me one last time as if to ask, ‘.. now are we going home?’ So we trotted off. We were heading back into the morning sun and Muriel was happy in leading the way again!

It was a nice cool early morning walk today…we like it like that… don’t we Muriel?!
