Zoe and Joe return to the Duck pond!

I have had a couple of walks lately, that took me past some local ducks, and each time I thought,’… wouldn’t it be great to bring Zoe and Joe by here!... They’d like that!’ So we headed off for the duck pond, via a pretty circuitous route. Zoe and Joe have covered a couple of hindred K’s with me now, so they are used to me going all over the place… they don’t seem to mind my erratic loops too much!

Its always nice to watch the dynamics of “my” Dogs as we walk. Zoe and Joe have a pretty well Demarcation of who does what. Joe notices me first and is always the first line in the welcome, but first out the gate is Zoe, until they have their bearings. Joe then likes to lead the way, while Zoe hangs back with me. She is always first to find interesting smells and Joe Joins in if it’s a good one!

Zoe Joe and I headed off to that watercourse with all the offshoots and took one of them to the Duck pond! I was crossing my fingers that they would still be home as we motored our way along. They weren’t really on to me for a long while in fact we got quite close before they noticed the Ducks at all. When they finally did see them they were very reserved. Happy to skirt around the p[ond and try to get closer. Of course the Ducks were smarter than us all and paddled across to the other side of the pond safely even further away from us, than before!

So we watched the Ducks for a little while and continued on our walk.

We headed for another park that was flat and by that stage we stopped for impromptu rolls. I think Zoe and Joe liked ending with a leisurely stroll on flat ground with no pesky hills… though we didn’t quite escape the last hill.

We got home and although it was coolish, we were all a little pooped, so we must have covered a nice distance today. Pooped and happy Dogs = pooped and happy Dog walker!
