Zoe and Joe on a lazy Sunday.

Zoe and Joe have walked over 275km with me so they are entitled to a lazy day here and there. They have had a pretty big week, lots of walks and lots of play, so by the time their Sunday walk came around they were pretty pooped. In fact, I could do with an easy walk today too.

We headed off with our usual high energy… Bursting out the gate with all that Boxer energy. So I thought we’d start off with a nice hill… it turned out to be a good choice…ending with a down hill!

Zoe and Joe always set a good pace. It was a nice warm morning so I planned out the shady stops and where we’d have our drinks breaks. Zoe and Joe did their usual roll around but getting them up again was a little slower. So we’d set off again and then joe pretty much thought that a lazy day of walking from one shady spot to another.

Joe was pretty adamant…we’d speed through the sunny bits then he’d stop at all the good shady spots… so after the first few stops I got the hint and we just shade hopped, rested, and shade hopped some more. Zoe was happy either way. She made the most of the stops by flopping down as soon as Joe called it! So we were all pretty much in agreeance.

What a nice way to spend a Sunday. My two Boxer friends Zoe and Joe., all the shady breaks and wrestles I could handle ( I wouldn’t sit down with them after a while as I started to think all the stops were about was to crash tackle me!) But Joe just wanted a casual stroll… Awesome idea Joe!

We got home and headed straight for the water bucket and I am sure both Zoe and Joe are having naps for the rest of the morning! Good job today team… and just quietly joe…thanks for the great rest breaks!
